캐논 카메라 박물관(Canon Camera Musum) 의 DesignHall·디자인홀 에서 발견한 물건 WT28. 캐논 오토보이 WT28의 'WT'는 World Travler 를 의미합니다. WT28은 시차에 상관없이 세계의 24개 주요도시·24 major cities 의 촬영 날짜와 시간을 사진에 기록할 수 있습니다. 재미는 있지만 사실 그렇게 쓸모있는 기능은 아니라고 생각합니다. 역시나 google 에서 flickr에서 ebay에서 ' WT28'을 찾아도 별 다른 정보가 없습니다. 하나의 컨셉트 카메라였을까요. 이 글의 주제는 왜 'Seoul, Korea'는 없느냐 입니다 :)

For models prior to the Autoboy WT28, local time had to be set if you wished to superimpose the date onto your pictures during overseas trips. Also, standard-type lenses were not able to capture wide-angle panoramic views.

The Autoboy WT28 (World Traveler) allowed users to imprint the local time and date with ease by just selecting their present location from a list of 24 major cities around the world.

This function was compatible with summer equinox time changes in countries around the globe. An alarm was also another one of the convenient functions available on the camera. Moreover, the "Requested Picture Mode" enabled users to get the best results without worrying about focus problems, even when asking another person to take a picture. The dual-focus lenses, a wide-angle 28 mm and a standard 48 mm, were switchable according to whether you were photographing landscape or portrait snapshots.
