'Somebody bought one of your photos~'라는 메일을 받았습니다. facebook(페이스북) 어카운트에서 받은 메일이었습니다. 사실 web2.0 기반의 SNS 사이트에 많이 가입해둔 편인데 사진기반의 FLICKR(플리커)외의 사이트는 사실 발길이 계속 이어지지는 않습니다. OWNED 는 쉽게 말해 FACEBOOK 유저들을 위한 TOY application 입니다. 위의 이미지는 바로 owned의 my bidder 페이지인데, 제 사진에 입찰한 facebook friend 들입니다. 우측하단부터 여러분들의 비딩 및 경쟁입찰을 통하여 저의 가치는 $1 부터 $51, 등등하여 현재 $251 까지 가치상승하였습니다. -_-V 현재 저의 OWNER 는 Ji won 님. 처음 이페이지를 보았을때 자주 들여다보지도 않았는데 이게 뭔일인가 싶었습니다.

페이스북의 프로필에 올린 한장의 사진입니다. 바로 이사진에 비딩이 붙은 내용인데요. 재미있어서 몇장의 사진을 단돈 $9에 네장 더 올렸습니다. 이것이 무엇인가. 단순히 페이스북의 포인트개념으로 fun 을 주기위한 어플리케이션인가. 아님 실질것인 수익으로 연결되거나 자신의 인기도를 높이는 수단인것인가. 결론은 모두 맞습니다. 이러한 활동들을 통하여 자신의 가치를 높이고 facebook 내에서의 인지도 상승및 기타등등의 benefit 이 주어집니다. 그리고 이것을 들여다보고 있으면 은근히 더 나은 유저에게 own 되고싶거나. 괜찮은 유저를 own하고 싶은 경생심 혹은 소유욕이 생깁니다.

그렇다면 나의 지금 가치인 $251은 facebook 내에서 어느정도의 가치일까? 사실 인터넷 맞고는 중학생들고 조단위로 놉니다 -_-.

Why am I no longer getting +$10 for viewing photos?

There's a daily limit for obtaining money in this way.
How does the money get distributed when a photo is purchased?

When a photo sells on Owned!, the money gets split between two users. The previous owner of the photo receives a bulk of the money -- everything they paid for the photo, plus 1/2 the difference in what they originally paid and what the new owner paid. The remaining money goes to the user the photo is of.

Example
Alice pays $5000 for a photo of Bob.
Charlie then comes around and pays $8000 for that photo.
Alice gets her $5000 back plus 1/2 of $3000 ( $8000 - $5000 ) amounting to $6500 total.
Bob gets $1500.
Why can't I invite certain friends to join Owned?

You can't invite a friend that has already joined Owned! or that you've already invited today.
How are the rankings calculated?

The "Top People" ranking is measured by the sum of the purchase prices of all photos of each user.

The "Total Worth" ranking is scored based on the amount of money each user has plus the total sum of all photos owned by that user.
How does the money get distributed when a user "disowns" a photo?

When a photo gets disowned on Owned, the money does not get reimbursed to the purchasing user or the owner of the photo.
